Michael Wohlmuth
Managing Director and Partner

Michael Wohlmuth founded FEMUTEC - now Simufact Engineering GmbH -
in 1995 together with his partner Hendrik Schafstall as spin-off of the
University of the Federal Armed Forces of Germany. He studied Mechanical
Engineering at this University and after a couple of years serving
as an officer at the Army he has held a position at the chair of
manufacturing at the same University. In this time (1987 – 1992)
he worked on process simulation of bulk metal forming
applications. Prior to founding the company Mr. Wohlmuth was
sales manager at PAFEC Ltd. in the CAD area.

Dr. Hendrik Schafstall

Hendrik Schafstall founded FEMUTEC - now Simufact Engineering GmbH -
in 1995 together with his partner Michael Wohlmuth as spin-off of the
University of the Federal Armed Forces of Germany. He studied Mechanical
Engineering at the University of Hannover and joined the
University of the Federal Armed Forces as a research associate
in 1992 and was awarded a PH.D in 1998 for research on the
topic of Friction Modelling in Bulk Metal Forming Simulation.
